I first came to Vietnam aged 23 as a VSO Volunteer in 2005, and spent 2 years working as a PR & Fundraising Manager at the 15 May School, a street childrens' project in the inner city in Saigon which is now sadly closed.
Over the time I spent in Vietnam I was fortunate enough to see a good deal of the country and fell well and truly in love with it. However I was a little surprised that there was very little in the way of good travel information available on places off the beaten track - something I have been trying to rectify with this website but I must confess I am something of a lazy writer.
While back in the UK, where I finished my degree in Development Studies and Politics and worked for an internet marketing agency, I decided to make use of the photos and experiences I had by putting them online for people to share.
I moved back to Vietnam in October 2008 with my girlfriend and we are again living in Saigon - although considering moving up the coast. I love to travel and have also built websites about Lake Como in Italy, Algarve holidays and holidays to Barbados, as well as a site on holidays to Thailand and a package holiday search engine.
While looking for a full time job in a charity I am splitting my time between freelance web work and volunteering - this year I was Race Manager for the 3rd time at the annual Saigon Children's Charity Cyclo Challenge.
