Cham Villas is a boutique luxury resort located in Phan Thiet on Vietnam's southeastern coast, about 60 miles east of Ho Chi Minh City. It was selected as the winner of TripAdvisor.com's "Traveler's Choice" award in 2009. The resort complex consists of a hectare of tropical garden, containing 18 private villas. Six of the villas have sea views, and the remainder have garden views.
Each villa includes a full bath with a private garden view, king-size bed, private terrace, and minibar. For contact with the outside world, the villa offers cable TV, wireless Internet access, and an international direct dial phone. The villas are decorated with traditional Cham and Vietnamese artwork for an exotic feel.
Cham Villas has its own open-air restaurant, serving Vietnamese and international fare. The hotel's management is also partly German, so there is a traditional red-brick German restaurant located next to the hotel on the main road.
For recreation, Cham Villas has its own outdoor swimming pool and 60 meters of private beach, where you can swim, sun, or surf. The resort's open-air spa offers a variety of massage techniques to help you relax. Cham Villas is also a 10-minute drive away from the Ocean Dunes Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by British champion golfer Nick Faldo and acclaimed as one of Vietnam's best golf courses.
The hotel staff will be happy to arrange expeditions for you to popular tourist sites in the region. These include Phan Thiet's massive Red Dunes, sandy mountains from which you can have a view of the entire countryside -- and if you're feeling daring, you can rent a plastic sled and ride down the dunes. Another well-known geological feature in the region is the Red Canyon. You can also visit the 19th-century Linh Song Truong Tho pagoda with its 49-meter reclining Buddha; the Ke Ga lighthouse, Vietnam's tallest lighthouse; and the crumbling brick Cham Towers, the remains of an 8th-century temple to the goddess Shiva. The Cham Villas are also convenient to the fishing towns of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, which are excellent places to shop, explore, and have some fresh seafood.
