The Ho Guom Hotel is in the middle of the Old Quarter of Hanoi, Vietnam. Accommodations are modern and luxurious with air conditioning, Internet access and satellite TV. Each room has a mini-bar, a safe-deposit box and laundry service. There is a breakfast room and a restaurant, a bar/lounge, child care services and a currency exchange.

The Ho Guom Hotel is conveniently located for several tourist attractions. For instance, the Than Long Waterpuppet Theater is less than half a kilometer away. Water puppetry is an ancient art-form in Vietnam, using the surface of a pool for the stage and depicting traditional dramas using small painted figures. While these productions may seem slow-paced and hard to follow by Western standards, the patient spectator will be rewarded with a rare look at the ancient culture of Vietnam.

The hotel is near Sword Lake, one of the most popular scenic attractions in Hanoi. In the lake is a tiny island with a single structure, the Tortoise Tower, which legend says was the site of a meeting between Emperor Le Loi and the Golden Turtle God, Kim Qui. Near the lake's northern bank is another island, the location of the Jade Mountain Temple. Also in the lake is the Ngoc Son Temple, approached by the Huc (Rising Sun) Bridge.

There lots of glowing reviews for Ho Guom Hotel. Visitors have commented that it somehow manages to be quiet, even in the center of the city. The staff gets high marks for efficiency and helpfulness.
