Life Wellness Resort Quy Nhon features a splendid mixture of modern, colonial and traditional Asian architectures. Awarded Best Spa Retreat of the Year by Asian Spa magazine in 2007, the 63-room resort is located mere steps from the ocean on Bai Dai Beach, Quy Nhon, Vietnam.

The modern, air-conditioned rooms are scrupulously maintained by the hard-working and diligent staff. Each spacious room has a balcony, and such amenities as a refrigerator, minibar, Satellite TV, bathrobes, slippers, and a safety deposit box.

Wellness is the resort's raison d'être. Classes are available in Tai Chi, Yoga, meditation, walking meditation, power-walking, healthy cooking and beverage mixing, and the art of massage. Spa treatments include a dry sand and salt sauna, Cham steam therapy, Thai-Yoga fusion massage, aloe body wraps, facials, massage, manicures, pedicures, even a coconut milk bath.

Enjoy a cocktail and a game of pool or chess in the resort's Senses Bar & Lounge. Have a sundowner or fruit juice in the Cham Bar, or dine under the stars at the cliff-top Senses Restaurant.

The Life Resort's souvenir shop features hand-made pottery and a variety of woven, embroidered, and beaded items designed to instill the sense of harmony and balance which is an important component of the resort's philosophy.

There are only a handful of local attractions: The Binh Dinh Museum, featuring artifacts of Cham and pre-Cham culture, the awe-inspiring and centuries-old Thap Doi Cham Towers with their distinct and intricate masonry, the commemorative Victory Statue, and the lively, outdoor Central Market. Hire one of the beautiful, multicolored fishing boats for a day trip to Hon Dat Island, or watch from the beach or balcony as the colorful fleet carries the fishermen away to ply their trade on the South China Sea.

Take a dip in the resort pool. Rent a bodyboard, kayak, or one of the local coracle-like basket boats for a day on the water.

Pack warm clothing as the sea breezes are ofttimes cool. Bring along a good Vietnamese phrasebook; many of the resort staff and most of the locals speak faltering English or none at all. Tourists are something of a rarity in Quy Nhon; don't be surprised or offended if the locals give you more than a passing glance.

Resort courtesy services include high-speed Internet access, same-day laundry service, shoe-shining, child care, fax and photocopy services, visa processing, foreign currency exchange, airline ticket confirmation, and day tours.
