Location

Pilgrimage Village is a boutique luxury resort located just south of the city of Hue. It boasts 99 villas and guest rooms in a peaceful Vietnamese countryside setting.

The villas are built in the traditional Vietnamese style and furnished comfortably. Few conveniences are spared in the rooms. All rooms include two private balconies, satellite TV, international direct dial phone and free wi-fi Internet, full bath, minibar, and 24-hour room service. The higher-end villas even have their own private gardens and swimming pools.

The resort includes two restaurants: Junrei, which serves Vietnamese fusion cuisine, and Valley, which has a more Western menu. Two bars and a lounge are also available for drinks and relaxation. Also available is the Vedana spa, which offers various styles of massage, beauty, hair, and bath treatments. Yoga, tai chi, and meditation classes are also offered.

If you're interested in learning more about Vietnam, you can take Vietnamese cuisine lessons or work with local artisans to learn how to make traditional Vietnamese handicrafts. Pilgrimage Village also offers "DMZ tours" of important sites from the Vietnam War, with English, French, or Japanese-speaking guides available.

Although Pilgrimage Village's "countryside" location is one of its selling points, it's not all that remote. It's just off a major highway, which makes it easily accessible: 15 minutes' drive from the Hue city center, 10 minutes from the railroad station, and 20 minutes from Hue's airport.
