Overlooking Xuan Huong Lake in Dalat, Vietnam, Sofitel Palace offers 43 luxury rooms and suites on five acres in a private park. Dalat is referred to as Le Petit Paris or "City of Eternal Spring." Built in 1922, this upscale hotel retains the original elegance of a bygone era with the modern touches of present day expectations. Adorning the walls and rooms throughout the hotel are over 2000 pieces of artwork and sculptures. If relaxation is the target of visiting, Sofitel Palace sits on a quiet road. Boasting a business center with 4 meeting rooms, functions are easily accommodated.

Tastefully decorated with old-fashioned charm, each room or suite features a chandelier, oriental rugs and colonial bathrooms with original fixtures and claw-foot tubs. Amenities include Satellite television, hair dryers, in-room safes, 24 hour room service and mini bars. Fireplaces are available in most rooms.

Presented with a wide range of activities, guests will enjoy shopping at the hotel's boutiques, tennis, horse and carriage rides and swan boats. Drop in at LApothicaire Spa for a facial in a calm, relaxing atmosphere. For guests seeking more action, a fitness center offers state-of-the-art fitness equipment and a short shuttle ride will bring those who want to golf to the 18 hole course. For parties traveling with children, a playground is on the hotel property. Hire a guide for the best way to customize a visit to the city. Tour the Palaces of Emperor Bao Dai one of which lies in a pine grove near Pasteur Institute. One of three, Dinh 3 was built in 1933 and is entirely made in the fashion of art deco. Open sporadically to the public, Dinh 1 and Dinh 2 are used primarily for government purposes. Time permitting, venture out to the countryside to see amazing waterfalls.

Gather in the Monet Room before dinner to enjoy a cocktail by the fireplace. Dining options include two on-site restaurants. Choose to dine at The Rabelais to savor authentic French cuisine. Using locally grown organic vegetables, fresh fish and venison, fine dining on the terrace will bring delight with beautiful views of nature paired with fine food and wine. For delicate breakfast pastry and light lunches, Cafe De La Poste is a practical choice.
After dinner, gather in Larry's Bar where live bands take song requests. Guests are invited to sing along with band members if desired.
