Au Parc

Au Parc is still open at 23 Han Thuyen in District 1: a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant and cafe in an old colonial building, a short walk from Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace.

What it is

Au Parc says it has been trading since 2003. Its own site describes a Mediterranean menu with Spanish, French, Italian, Turkish, Lebanese, Greek and North African influences, plus Italian coffee, fresh juices and smoothies. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Where and when

The address is 23 Han Thuyen, District 1, facing the small park between the two landmarks. The restaurant gives its hours as 7:30 am to 11 pm every day, with weekend brunch from 11 am to 4 pm. Its Facebook page lists a reservations line, +84 28 3829 2772.

What it costs

The website doesn’t publish a price list. Its recent social posts have advertised set dinners at roughly 300,000-400,000 dong a head, which suggests a mid-range bill by Saigon standards; look at the menu on the day.

Nearby

It works as a break between the cathedral, the post office and the Reunification Palace. For more places to eat across the centre, see our Ho Chi Minh City guide, and for evening street food, Saigon’s night markets.
