Bun Ta (Nam Ky Khoi Nghia)

Bun Ta, the noodle restaurant at 136 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia in District 1, is no longer trading at that address.

Bun Ta opened in the mid-2000s with a single idea: bun (rice vermicelli) as the main event. Vietnamese press covered the first branch at 136 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia in 2005 and 2007, and our old listing put a bowl at about $3-5. By 2026 that address (134-136) is Ben Nghe Street Food, a covered food court with many stalls, open from about 9 am to midnight.

Where to eat noodles there now

Ben Nghe Street Food is the obvious replacement: one roof, many vendors, including bun dishes, and you can see the food before you order. On the same road, Quan Ngon 138 at number 138 serves Vietnamese dishes from all three regions; see our entry for it. Prices at a food court stall are usually well below a sit-down restaurant, but check before ordering.
