What it is
The restaurant says it has been going for nearly 30 years. Its theme is clay-pot rice and regional Vietnamese home cooking, and its own site lists dishes such as braised clams (nghe kho to), sour fish soup (canh chua ca bong lau) and salt-steamed chicken (ga hap muoi). It also does a show where the clay pot is cracked open at the table.
Where and when
Our old listing gave 6B Tu Xuong; the restaurant now gives its Tu Xuong address as 27 Tu Xuong, District 3, open 6 am to 11 pm. A second branch is at 59 Ho Xuan Huong, open 10 am to 10 pm. Both sit a short taxi ride north-west of the centre. The Tu Xuong branch has garden seating.
Cost
No prices are published on the site, so we can’t give a figure; expect a sit-down restaurant bill rather than a street-food one, and ask for the menu before you order.
