Where the car stops

The resort's main entrance and lobby on Hon Gio - Thuan Quy Street. Give the driver the Mövenpick name and the street, not just NovaWorld.

Where is the Mövenpick, exactly?

The resort is on Hon Gio - Thuan Quy Street in Tien Hoa hamlet, Tien Thanh ward, on the coast south-west of Phan Thiet. Accor gives about 12 km to the city centre; the Radisson, a few minutes away, quotes 15 km for the same trip, and the difference is where each measures from. The province is Lam Dong since the 2025 reorganisation, so recent booking confirmations say Lam Dong rather than Binh Thuan.

It sits on NovaWorld’s beach side. The Mui Ne strip is on the opposite side of Phan Thiet, so a stay here is a different trip from a stay in Ham Tien.

What kind of resort is it?

A big, themed one. The resort opened in November 2022 with 248 rooms from Classic to Admiral Suite, spread over floors 3 to 10, and a pirate theme that runs through the names: Bounty Restaurant and Bar for island cooking, The Black Pearl for international food, an Admiral Executive Club with its own lounge. There are two pools, a lagoon pool for children and an infinity pool for adults, the Oasis Wellness and Spa, and the Little Birds Kids Club. Mövenpick’s chocolate hour and ice-cream programmes are aimed at small children. It is Green Globe certified.

That makes it the most family-oriented of the NovaWorld hotels, and a good fit for a week of beach, pool and park days. It is less suited to travellers who want a lively street outside the gate.

Is it close to the parks and golf?

Close enough to walk or take the shuttle for the water park (1.5 km by the resort’s description) and to drive to the rest. NovaDreams’ Circus Land, Wonderland Water Park and the others are in the same complex, and the PGA golf club is a few minutes away. The distances inside NovaWorld are long enough that most guests use the resort shuttle or a car in the evening.

How long is the drive from Saigon airport?

Typically 3 to 3½ hours. The developer advertises 1½ hours from Ho Chi Minh City; that is a best case from the eastern edge of the city on an empty road. If you land at night, tell the resort you’ll arrive after midnight so the night team expect you.

Does the Mövenpick run its own airport transfer?

Not that its Accor page publishes, so we can’t quote a resort price. Ask the resort for its current rate if you want to compare it with ours in the booking box.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.
