Ty Coz was run by two brothers from Brittany, according to a French travel forum, and a 2011 blog described a daily menu explained by the chef at the table. Our old listing priced it at about $3-5. A 2025 Facebook post now gives the address 178/4 Pasteur as a different business (a coffee event), we found no recent Ty Coz reviews, and a search summary says it has closed, but we couldn’t find a primary source that says so. Treat it as closed unless a live listing shows otherwise.
French food in the area now
Le Jardin, a French restaurant in a garden near the opera house, is still open; see our entry. The streets around the cathedral and Dong Khoi have more French bistros and cafes, and the wider city has several.
See our Ho Chi Minh City guide for more, and Saigon’s night markets for street food after dark.
