How do you get to Amanoi from Cam Ranh airport?
Fly into Cam Ranh (CXR), and the car heads south on Highway 1 and the expressway toward Phan Rang, then turns off onto the coast road to Vinh Hy. Aman puts it at 75 minutes. We would plan for 75 to 90 minutes, and a stop at the viewpoints on the coast road adds more. The road past Ninh Chu is dry and open, with salt pans and vineyards on one side and the sea on the other.
Driving from Saigon to Vinh Hy
If you would rather skip the flight, the car leaves Tan Son Nhat for the Long Thanh–Dau Giay expressway and on through Phan Thiet, Vinh Hao and Cam Lam to Phan Rang. That is about 330 km, and Vinh Hy is another 40 km of coast road. Plan on 5 to 6 hours with a stop, and book a 7-seater for a family. The Phan Rang and Vinh Hy page has the full run and the train and bus options.
What is the arrival like at Amanoi?
Amanoi sits inside Nui Chua National Park above Vinh Hy bay, a long way from any town. There are no shops on the way, so buy water in Phan Rang if you want it. The resort has its own check-in, and you are unlikely to see another hotel on the last stretch.
Is the resort’s transfer worth it?
Aman includes return airport transfers from Cam Ranh with stays of four nights or more, and on shorter stays no price is published. Resellers list the airport run at about USD 69–79 (undated). A booked car is a fixed price for the vehicle, whatever the number of passengers, so a party of four does not pay four times.
Combining Amanoi with Mui Ne and Nha Trang
Amanoi works as one stop between Mui Ne and Nha Trang. From Mui Ne it is about 3 to 3½ hours. To Nha Trang it is nearly 100 km. If you are fitting Vinh Hy into a longer trip, tell us when you book and we will plan the legs together. The Phan Rang page covers the area, and the Nha Trang page the city.
