The drive
From Tan Son Nhat the driver heads east across the city to the Long Thanh–Dau Giay expressway, then takes the Dau Giay–Phan Thiet expressway to its end just north of Phan Thiet. From there it’s a short drive through the edge of the city to the start of the resort strip, where the Anantara is one of the first big resorts you reach.
The first hour, getting out of Saigon, is the slow part. After that the expressway is fast and quiet. Ask the driver to stop whenever you like.
Arriving at the resort
The car takes you right to the entrance, so you don’t drag bags across a car park. If you arrive before check-in time, resorts like this will normally hold your luggage while you have lunch or go to the beach; check with the resort if you need an early room.
Who this suits
The Anantara is at the quieter, more upmarket end of Mui Ne, popular with couples and with families who want a pool villa. The kite schools, bars and street restaurants of Ham Tien are 10–15 minutes along the strip. If you plan to go out every evening, think about staying further along, or book a car for the evening.
Going back
For the return, set the booking box to Anantara Mui Ne Resort → Tan Son Nhat Airport. For international flights leave about five hours before departure, and allow more on Friday afternoons and before holidays.
