Where the car stops

The hotel's front entrance on Tran Phu. There are two IHG properties with similar names here, so give the driver the exact name: InterContinental Nha Trang is the hotel; the Residences are a separate building.

32-34 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa

Compared with the resort's own car

Resort transfer: IHG's directions page says no airport shuttle is available (read October 2026). The hotel's own page offers a private transfer without a price; a Jetstar hotel listing shows a surcharged airport shuttle at VND 311,850 per person one way (undated).

Our private car: $15 (400.000₫) for a sedan, $17 for a 7-seater. Per car, tolls included.

Ask the hotel for its private car price and compare it with ours, which is per car and not per person.

How long does the taxi from Cam Ranh airport take to the InterContinental?

The hotel’s own page says taxis are available at the airport and reach the hotel in about 45 minutes. That sits in the middle of our 40 to 55 minute range for Tran Phu. Skyscanner puts the hotel 0.7 km from the city centre, so there is no long approach in town: most of the 45 minutes is the airport-to-city road, with a slow last mile on Tran Phu in the evening.

Does InterContinental Nha Trang have an airport shuttle?

IHG says no. Its directions page lists no airport shuttle. The hotel’s travel page offers three ways in: a pre-arranged private transfer with a pick-up, a taxi, or a shuttle bus with a drop-off near the hotel, with no prices. Jetstar’s hotel listing shows an airport shuttle for a surcharge at VND 311,850 per person one way, undated. A fixed price per car is simpler for a family, and the driver waits at arrivals instead of a desk.

What is the InterContinental Residences notice about?

The hotel’s website carries a special notice that InterContinental Residences Nha Trang and InterContinental Nha Trang operate as separate properties. Facilities at the hotel are not available to guests at the Residences, and the notice warns of noise from the Residences renovation and nearby construction. For a transfer that means one thing: the driver needs the right name. Tell us which you booked when you book.

Where does the car stop?

At the front entrance on Tran Phu, number 32-34. The hotel sits in the middle of the beach strip, with the promenade, cafes and shops a few steps away according to its own page. Public information shows one main entrance.

What is near the hotel?

The hotel’s own page lists the cathedral, Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda as local attractions. They are each a short drive. The cathedral is built in French Gothic style between 1928 and 1933 on a small hill near the station. Po Nagar’s towers date from the 7th to 12th centuries and shoes come off at the door. See the Nha Trang page for more.

Leaving the InterContinental

For Da Lat, read the Da Lat to Nha Trang route; for Mui Ne, the Mui Ne to Nha Trang route. Saigon is about 5½ to 7 hours by car on the expressway.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.
