How close is Mövenpick Cam Ranh to the airport?
Close enough that you can be at the check-in desk before your bags have dried off the plane. The resort puts itself at 6 km, which is 10 to 15 minutes on Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, the straight coast road that runs from the terminal along Bai Dai. A taxi rank outside arrivals handles most guests, and the resort lists 80,000–100,000₫ for it (location page, October 2026).
When does a booked car beat the taxi rank?
On a 10-minute ride, rarely on price. It helps on a midnight landing, with young children and cases, or when the plan is bigger than the airport: Cam Ranh to Mövenpick and then on to Nha Trang or Da Lat. For a family, ask for a 7-seater so the bags don’t ride on laps.
Staying on the peninsula and eating in Nha Trang
The resort is a long beach resort with villas, some with their own pools and up to four bedrooms, on the beach side of the peninsula road. Nha Trang is about 30 km north, so a dinner out means 40 to 55 minutes each way. The resort runs a shuttle into the city, and a car with a driver who waits is the simpler choice for a group. See the Nha Trang page for what is worth the trip, including seafood and local food.
Do you need a long drive from here?
The peninsula is a good base for a short trip to Nha Trang and a longer one up to Da Lat. Read the Da Lat to Nha Trang route for the pass hours, and remember that the Khanh Le pass is closed at night. If you continue south to Vinh Hy, see Phan Rang and Vinh Hy.
