Where the car stops

The resort's lounge and jetty in Nha Trang, where the speedboat leaves. Not the resort itself: there is no road. The resort confirms the meeting point and boat time when you book, and the driver gets them too.

Compared with the resort's own car

Resort transfer: USD 139 per person per way for a private airport car plus the shared boat, with children 6–11 at half price, from the resort's how-to-get-there page (undated, read October 2026).

Our private car: $15 (400.000₫) for a sedan, $17 for a 7-seater. Per car, tolls included.

Our car takes you to the jetty at a fixed price per car. The boat is booked with the resort, so a family can split the two parts.

Where is the jetty for Six Senses Ninh Van Bay?

The resort has a lounge and a jetty on the Nha Trang side of the bay, and guests meet the boat there. The resort says the drive from the airport to the lounge is about 60 minutes, then the speedboat takes 20. We recommend asking the resort for the pin and the boat time, because both can change with the tide and the weather. Our driver will have the same details.

What does the car do and what does the boat do?

The car is ours: a fixed price per car from Cam Ranh to the jetty, with a driver at arrivals. The boat is the resort’s. Booking the two separately means a couple pays the car once and the boat per person, and a family of five does not pay five car fares. The resort’s own package, a private car plus shared boat, is USD 139 per person per way (undated).

What about the luggage?

Luggage goes from the car to the boat at the jetty, and the resort’s team handles it. Pack for a boat: soft bags are easier than hard cases. If the sea is rough the crossing is slower, and the resort decides whether the boat goes.

Can we arrive late or leave early?

Check the last boat and the first boat with the resort before you book flights. A morning flight out of CXR means leaving the bay early, and an international departure needs a very early boat. The safe plan for either is a night in Nha Trang on the arrival side.

Is it worth the trip for the bay?

The bay is a calm one with a golden beach and mountains behind it, according to guests’ accounts, and the villas are scattered along the shore. It is a remote stay, so you will not drive anywhere for dinner. For the rest of the coast, the Nha Trang page covers the city, and the Da Lat to Nha Trang route is the usual next leg for a tour with the highlands.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.

FAQ

About this transfer

How do you get to Six Senses Ninh Van Bay from Cam Ranh airport?

By car to the resort's lounge and jetty in Nha Trang, which the resort says takes about 60 minutes, then a speedboat of about 20 minutes to the resort. There is no road to the bay.

Does your car go to the resort itself?

No. The car goes to the jetty, because the resort is only reachable by water. The boat is arranged with the resort.

What does the resort's own transfer cost?

The resort lists a private airport car plus shared boat at USD 139 per person per way, children aged 6 to 11 at half price (undated). A booked car to the jetty is a fixed price for the car, which helps for families and groups, and you add the boat.

What if our flight lands late?

Ask the resort for its last boat time before you book the flight. If the last boat has gone, the practical plan is a night in Nha Trang and the first boat in the morning. We can also collect you in Nha Trang the next day.

Can you take us onward after the resort?

Yes. The boat returns you to the jetty, and a car from there goes to Da Lat (about 3 to 3¾ hours), Mui Ne (about 3½ to 4½ hours) or Saigon. See the onward table.
