How long is the ride from CXR to 18 Tran Phu?
The hotel’s own site says about 40 minutes, and 40 to 55 is a safe range. From the airport the car follows the coast road into the city to Tran Phu. On a Friday evening or a holiday weekend it can run to the top of the range.
Which Yasaka are we booking?
The name has shifted over the years: Yasaka Saigon Resort Hotel & Spa, Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang Hotel, Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang Resort Hotel & Spa. All are the same building at 18 Tran Phu. If a booking site lists it under one of the older names, the driver still takes you to the same door. Check that the street number on the voucher is 18 Tran Phu.
What does the hotel offer?
It has 201 rooms and suites, all with sea views, from 25 m² standard rooms to a 150 m² presidential suite. There are six restaurants and bars, including the Red Onion on the 11th floor and the 600-seat Abalone Restaurant, seven meeting rooms and a grand hall seating 384 theatre-style. That scale suits conference and tour groups. A pool, spa and karaoke are on site.
Will a private car suit a hotel with so many groups?
Yes, for the opposite reason. When a tour coach arrives the lobby is busy, but a car has already met you at arrivals and goes straight to the entrance. Tell the driver about luggage and the number of people. A group of five or six takes a 7-seater or a 16-seater van, and a family a 7-seater.
From the Yasaka to Da Lat, Mui Ne or Saigon
The Da Lat to Nha Trang route explains the Khanh Le pass and its daytime-only rule, and the Mui Ne to Nha Trang route covers the expressway. Saigon is about 5½ to 7 hours. The Nha Trang page lists everything around town.
