Which Liberty is this, and what address do I give the driver?
Liberty Hotels has put several properties into the blocks around Le Thanh Ton and Pasteur, and drivers do drop guests at the wrong one. This page is for the Citypoint, 59 Pasteur, on the corner of Pasteur and Le Loi, run by Odyssea Hospitality. It has 171 rooms over 18 floors, a rooftop infinity pool, the Above Sky Bar and a spa on the 18th floor.
The listing carried over from the old site was “Liberty Central Managed by Metropole Hotel” with 139 rooms and an address of 175-177-179 Le Thanh Ton, a few streets away. The hotel has since been renamed and works from the Pasteur address, so the old name and the old street should both be left out when you brief a driver.
Does the hotel’s own airport car beat a booked one?
The hotel runs a 24-hour shuttle for a fee, and a booking listing shows VND 910,000 per vehicle one way (seen Oct 2026). That is a fair rate for a 4-seater sedan, which is all most couples need for the 6.5 to 7 km into District 1. The hotel asks for notice in advance and its own site gives no price, so check the vehicle size before you rely on it. A booked car is worth comparing when you want the driver waiting at arrivals with your name on a sign rather than a message to the front desk.
What can I walk to from Pasteur and Le Loi?
The point of this corner is how much is within ten minutes on foot. The Saigon Centre and Takashimaya mall is across the road, and the Ben Thanh metro station sits beside it. Ben Thanh Market is a 5 minute walk, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum is about as close, and the Reunification Palace and the Opera House are roughly ten minutes each. If you plan to see the museums on foot, this is a good base.
Is Pasteur easy for a car to reach?
Pasteur and Le Loi are both wide, busy roads, and Le Loi is the road where the metro works and the Saigon Centre traffic bunch up. Cars pull in at the front on Pasteur; a small sedan handles two people and two cases easily. Four adults with large bags need a 7-seater, which the driver can still stop outside the hotel door.
Is it true there is a cinema inside the hotel?
Yes. The hotel describes itself as the first in the city with an in-house cinema, which suits the rainy-season evening when the streets flood. Say so if you are arriving late; the Le Loi side is busy with motorbikes until late, and a short stop at the door beats a circle of the block.
Driving out from Pasteur to Mui Ne, Can Tho or Vung Tau
Pasteur is in the thick of the centre, so the first half hour of any long trip is slow. Mui Ne is 3 to 4 hours typically, Can Tho 2½ to 3½, and Vung Tau 1½ to 2½. A leaving time before 7:00 gets you through the centre before the school run.
