Our private car: $15 (400.000₫) for a sedan, $17 for a 7-seater. Per car, tolls included.

With 389 rooms the lobby is busy at check-in times, so it helps to arrive with the car already arranged for the way out.

Where is MerPerle Dalat Hotel?

MerPerle Dalat Hotel is at 1 Hung Vuong, right beside Da Lat railway station, on the east side of the centre. Since the July 2025 reorganisation the address is Xuan Huong–Da Lat ward; booking sites that predate it say Ward 10 or “Phuong 10”. From the hotel it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill to Xuan Huong Lake, and a few minutes by car to the night market.

Some listings give a different street, so if you book through a third party, give the driver “MerPerle, Hung Vuong, by the railway station”. Everyone in Da Lat knows the building.

How many rooms, and who owns it?

MerPerle Dalat has 389 rooms over ten floors, with two basement levels, according to the hotel. It’s the largest hotel in Da Lat. The building started life in 2009 as the Saigon Moi hotel project, which stalled. Khai Vy Joint Stock Company took it over in 2018 and finished it under its MerPerle Resorts & Hotels brand, and the hotel opened on 17 December 2023 (Tap Chi Toa An, December 2023).

The build was not smooth. In October 2023 the city stopped work after inspectors found about 4,450 m² of floor space beyond the permit, and the province later approved design changes (VnExpress, 13 October 2023). That’s history now: the hotel has been trading since the end of 2023.

What MerPerle Dalat is like

It’s a big, modern city hotel rather than a villa resort: a heated pool, a gym, MerPerle Spa with a Korean-style jjimjilbang sauna, a family club for children, a 3D golf simulator and several restaurants, including the 600-seat Rustic. Room types run from deluxe doubles and family rooms to grand suites, and some rooms look over the railway station.

It suits families, groups and anyone who wants five-star facilities in the centre without the walk up a villa lane.

From Lien Khuong airport to MerPerle Dalat

The drive from Lien Khuong airport (DLI) to MerPerle Dalat is about 30 km and takes 35 to 50 minutes. The car takes the four-lane highway north, climbs the Prenn pass and crosses the centre to Hung Vuong. The airport reopened on 19 August 2026 with flights from Saigon, Hanoi, Da Nang and Kuala Lumpur; our Da Lat airport guide has the routes.

The driver tracks your flight and waits in arrivals with a name sign. On the way out, the driver calls you from the main entrance when the car arrives.

Driving to MerPerle from Saigon, Mui Ne or Nha Trang

From Saigon it’s 6 to 7 hours, from Mui Ne 3½ to 4½ and from Nha Trang 3 to 3¾; the Da Lat page has the roads. MerPerle is on the station side of town, so cars from the coast cross the centre at the end, and Friday evenings around the lake slow that last stretch.

What’s around the hotel

The railway station next door is one of Da Lat’s sights: a 1930s art-deco building with heritage trains running about 7 km out to Trai Mat village and Linh Phuoc pagoda. Xuan Huong Lake, the flower garden and Lam Vien Square are downhill to the west. For the rest of a stay, see things to do in Da Lat.

Leaving MerPerle Dalat

For Lien Khuong, leave about 2 hours before a domestic flight. For a taxi from MerPerle to Nha Trang, Cam Ranh or a resort on the coast, set off after breakfast so you cross the Khanh Le pass well before it closes at 6 pm. The car can stop at a coffee farm or waterfall on the way out. The onward table below gives the drive and price from MerPerle to each zone.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.
