Where on the Mui Ne strip is Muine Bay?
At the far, quieter end. The Mui Ne strip is a 10 km line of resorts, and Muine Bay is toward the dunes and fishing village side, a few kilometres from the Red Sand Dunes, rather than at the busy Ham Tien centre. That suits people who want a resort on a private bay and are happy to take a car to the restaurants; it is awkward for anyone who wants to walk to dinner. The Phan Thiet end, where the Anantara sits, is 15 to 25 minutes back along the road.
What is the resort like?
The resort’s own site gives its address as Quarter 14, Mui Ne Ward and names its owner as Ben Thanh Group. Reports put the grounds at about 30,000 sq m, with a main building and one-storey bungalows, around 600 m of private beach with sunbeds, a large adult pool and a separate children’s pool, a spa, tennis and three restaurants. Room types include Superior and Deluxe balcony rooms, Family rooms and garden or ocean-view bungalows. Sources disagree on the room count, so ask the resort if it matters to you.
Guest reviews on booking sites put it as a good beach for the strip, a calm setting and a popular choice for families.
What do I need to know about the road in?
From the Phan Thiet end of the strip it is a drive along the coast road past the main resorts, then on toward the dunes. The last stretch is slower than the expressway, with scooters, buses and kite-school vans. That is why the time to Muine Bay is longer than to the Phan Thiet end.
Does the resort have its own transfer?
Yes: its site lists a transfer service from Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Da Lat, but no public price. Ask it for a quote and compare with the booking box here.
Dunes, village and Da Lat
For the dunes at sunrise, a car from here takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The fishing village, the Fairy Stream and the Po Sah Inu towers are all a short drive. When you leave, the Mui Ne to Da Lat route and the Mui Ne to Nha Trang route are priced in the table below, and the main Mui Ne guide covers the strip.
