Is Sonata in La Gi or Phan Thiet?

By address it is in Phan Thiet: Km 17 Lac Long Quan, Tien Phu, Tien Thanh, on the coast road towards La Gi, 17 km from the centre of Phan Thiet. It is the Saigon side of Phan Thiet, towards La Gi, so searches for “Sonata La Gi” and “Sonata Phan Thiet” find the same resort. La Gi lies further down the road.

How far is it from Saigon?

About 190 km, and typically 2¾–3½ hours. The Dau Giay–Phan Thiet expressway does the bulk of it and local roads finish the trip. It is shorter than to Mui Ne, which is why it suits a long weekend.

The beach is described as good for swimming. Vietnamese posts also say Tien Thanh is quiet, with few places to eat nearby, so the resort is the plan. The car you'd want after a long flight
