The hotel at 81 Hai Ba Trung started as Tan Hai Long 4, listed here as a two-star with 50 rooms and a position “within close proximity to Ben Thanh market”. It is now Silverland Min Hotel, one of about a dozen small central-Saigon hotels run by Silverland Hospitality, and the group calls its style “the simplification in bustling Saigon”. Listings give 37 or 38 rooms with Japanese-modern styling, and compact rooms without windows at the cheap end. If a driver knows it by the old name, “81 Hai Ba Trung” is the address to give.
Which part of Hai Ba Trung is it on?
Hai Ba Trung is a long District 1 road, and No. 81 is in the stretch near the Dong Khoi shopping area. A guest review on Tripadvisor calls the hotel “within walking distance of all the major” sights, and Expedia lists the Opera House and Vincom Center as close. The hotel’s address now reads Sai Gon Ward, while older listings say Ben Nghe Ward; they are the same place after the 2025 ward mergers.
Do I need more than a sedan?
For one to three guests with normal luggage, a sedan is the right car, and this is a small hotel. A 7-seater makes sense for a family; the door is at the kerb, so pack to what you can carry across a footpath.
Can I check in when my flight lands early?
Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out at noon, per listings, which matters for early-morning landings: ask in writing if you need an early room, because a car at the door at 6 am and a room at 2 pm is a long gap.
What is the airport transfer price?

From Hai Ba Trung to Mui Ne, Can Tho or Vung Tau
Heading out of the centre means a slow first half hour. Mui Ne is 2½ hours on a clear run and 3 to 4 typically, Can Tho 2½ to 3½, and Vung Tau about 1½ to 2½. For something shorter, the Cu Chi tunnels are an easy half day.
