Compared with the resort's own car

Resort transfer: Free shuttle between District 1 and the resort: departs Saigon at 10:30 and leaves the resort at 13:45 daily, seats limited and reserved in advance (+84 254 366 9966). From 1 October 2026 the Saigon stop is the VNO Building, 179 Nguyen Cu Trinh, District 1. Book directly with the resort at least 24 hours ahead and be at the stop 15 minutes before departure (Treatme package terms, dated 24 Sep 2026, read 4 Oct 2026; matches the resort notice in a Google search summary).

Our private car: $50 (1.300.000₫) for a sedan, $56 for a 7-seater. Per car, tolls included.

It is a city shuttle, not an airport pickup, and it runs once a day each way. A booked car goes from the airport at your arrival time.

Does Dhawa Ho Tram have a free shuttle from Saigon?

Yes, from District 1 but not from the airport. It leaves Saigon at 10:30 every day and returns from the resort at 13:45, with limited seats you reserve ahead (at least 24 hours) on +84 254 366 9966. On 1 October 2026 the Saigon stop moved from 369 Tran Hung Dao to the VNO Building (Thanh Dung Tower), 179 Nguyen Cu Trinh, District 1. The same shuttle serves the neighbouring Angsana Ho Tram.

If you sleep in District 1 the night before and have no flight to catch, take it: it’s free. If you land at Tan Son Nhat, you would first have to get into the city to reach the stop.

What does a private car add at Dhawa?

Airport pickup, and a start time that is yours. The 13:45 return is awkward for an evening flight and too late for a morning one, and a 10:30 start misses most arrivals. Dhawa is also a resort that families choose (kids’ club, children’s pool), which makes a car with room for the cases and a child seat worth having. Tell us your child’s age in the notes.

How long does it take from Tan Son Nhat to Dhawa?

About 2½ to 3¼ hours, door to door, on the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway (under 9 seats only since May 2026). The resort is on the coastal road in Ong To hamlet, Phuoc Thuan. If your group needs a 16-seater or van, add 30–45 minutes for Highway 51.

What can I visit from Dhawa?

The Grand Ho Tram and The Bluffs golf course are on the same strip; Binh Chau hot springs and the nature reserve are inland, about 30–40 minutes (Minera is the main resort there); Vung Tau is 45–60 minutes. For a day out, ask for a car that waits and brings you back. For more resorts, compare Meliá Ho Tram, whose shuttle follows a different timetable, and the quieter Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort. The Ho Tram page lays out the options.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.

FAQ

About this transfer

Is there a free shuttle to Dhawa Ho Tram?

Yes. The resort runs a free shuttle that leaves central Saigon at 10:30 and returns from the resort at 13:45 each day. Seats are limited and must be reserved. From 1 October 2026 the pickup point is the VNO Building at 179 Nguyen Cu Trinh in District 1. It doesn't go to the airport.

Why take a private car instead of the shuttle?

The shuttle is free, so it suits guests already in District 1 who can leave at 10:30. A private car is better if you land at Tan Son Nhat, arrive or leave at other times, travel with children or luggage, or want your own vehicle with a known driver and a fixed price. We track your flight and wait 90 minutes free.

How long does the transfer take?

Usually 2½ to 3¼ hours from Tan Son Nhat, using the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway, open to vehicles under 9 seats since May 2026. Leaving Saigon between 4 and 7 pm is slower.

Can we visit Vung Tau or Binh Chau from the resort?

Yes. Vung Tau is 45–60 minutes away and the Binh Chau springs about 30–40 minutes. Ask for the car to wait, or book each leg separately; the table below has every onward route.

Can you take us back to the airport?

Yes. Swap From and To in the booking box. For an international flight, leave about 5½ hours before departure.
