Where is Hoang Ngoc on the Mui Ne strip?
At 152 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, in the Ham Tien middle of the strip, with the kite schools and restaurant rows a short ride away and the Phan Thiet end about 15 to 25 minutes behind you. It is a resort for people who want a big beachfront garden and are fine taking a car or motorbike taxi to the busy part of the strip, rather than for people who want to step out of the lobby onto a street of bars.
What is the resort like?
Large and traditional. The resort is built on nearly 2 hectares along the coast, behind a long white-sand beach shaded by old coconut palms, with more than 150 rooms and apartments. Dining is at the Water Lily and CocoSea restaurants, and there is a pool, a spa, a fitness centre and water sports such as kayaking and jet skiing. The company registered in 2003. A lot of its business is groups: events, team building, gala dinners and outdoor weddings, so weekends can be busy with a party.
Is Hoang Ngoc the same as Bamboo Village or the other Ham Tien resorts?
No. Both Hoang Ngoc and Bamboo Village are on Nguyen Dinh Chieu in Ham Tien, which causes mix-ups, and both are four-star. Hoang Ngoc is number 152, Bamboo Village number 38. Give the driver the number.
Who is it for?
Families and groups who want a big beach, pool and garden at a four-star price, and tour groups. A booked car makes sense for the airport run and for evenings on the strip. A family of five with luggage should book a 7-seater.
Does the resort have its own transfer?
Its site lists no airport transfer price. If you want to compare, email the reception or call the 24-hour desk on +84 252 3847 858.
