Where is the resort’s pier?
On the mainland coast of Nha Trang, which the resort’s own page says is 15 minutes from the city centre and 40 minutes from Cam Ranh airport. We could not find a street address for it, and the resort’s own site would not load for us, so we don’t give one. The resort sends the pin with your booking confirmation, and we give the driver the same one. Don’t assume it is the Vinpearl cable car station: confirm which one your booking uses.
Boat or cable car?
The resort says guests arrive by boat from its pier. Travel writers give the crossing from downtown as about 8 minutes by boat or about 12 by cable car, and the resort is a Marriott on an island that Vinpearl also serves, so both appear in guides. For your booking, ask the resort, because it decides the pier and the time. If the answer is the cable car, the station is on Tran Phu in Nam Nha Trang ward, 4 to 5 km from the centre; the cable car runs 08:30 to 22:00 and speedboats take over after that (VinWonders).
How big is the resort, and why does it matter for the day?
A 2025 report in the Vietnamese business press counts 403 rooms and 426 villas with private pools, about 829 keys in all. The villas have two to four bedrooms, and the resort runs family programmes in summer. That size is why we ask for your flight number early: a resort this big can have several arrivals crossing at once.
Does the resort offer an airport shuttle?
We could not find a price on the resort’s own pages. Some tour agents advertise a free airport shuttle on the resort’s schedule with their packages (undated, social posts), so ask whether your rate includes it. If you pay per person for a shuttle, a fixed per-car fare to the pier is the comparison to make.
What about luggage on the crossing?
Travel guides say luggage goes across with the resort’s staff, but we found no first-hand detail for the Marriott’s pier, so confirm with the resort. Keep passports and medicine in a day bag.
Leaving Hon Tre for Da Lat, Mui Ne or Saigon
Cross back and the car meets you at the pier. For Da Lat read the Da Lat to Nha Trang route, and for Mui Ne the Mui Ne to Nha Trang route. The other Hon Tre resorts are on the Vinpearl Resort page and the Vinpearl Luxury page, and the Nha Trang page covers the city.
