How long from Cam Ranh to Bai Dong?

Mia is on Bai Dong, on the same peninsula as the airport, and the drive is short, usually under half an hour. You skip the long run into Nha Trang that most travellers face. It is a beach resort rather than a city hotel, so check-in is a beach resort check-in, and the car goes to the gate.

Is Mia a good base for Nha Trang?

It is a base for the beach, not for the city. The centre is 30 to 45 minutes away, which is fine for one or two days out and wearing for a week of dinners downtown. The resort’s published room rate starts at about 4.26 million VND a night (2026), and many guests stay for the pool and sand and add one day in town. See our Nha Trang page for what to pick, and diving in Nha Trang if you will be on the water.

Resort shuttle or private car?

The resort publishes no transfer price. If you want to compare it with a booked car, ask for the number before you land. For a family, the booked car is one fare for the vehicle, and a 7-seater takes five with bags.

Arriving late at night

CXR has late flights, and the peninsula road is quiet at night. Tell the resort your arrival time so reception stays staffed, and the driver tracks the flight.

Moving on from Mia

The usual next legs are Da Lat and Mui Ne. The Da Lat to Nha Trang route lists the pass hours, and the Mui Ne to Nha Trang route the expressway stops. For the neighbouring resorts, see Alma Resort Cam Ranh and Mövenpick Cam Ranh.

Our driver standard

The car you'd want after a long flight

Car quality in Vietnam varies wildly: a driver smoking between jobs, seatbelts tucked away or missing, a car that's done half a million kilometres. This is the standard we hold every driver to, and what we ask you about after every trip.

  • Calm hands on the wheel. Smooth, unhurried driving. Safety comes before speed, every time.
  • The horn is for emergencies. Not a musical instrument. Anyone who has sat in Saigon traffic knows why we say this.
  • No smoke, no perfume bomb. Nobody smokes in our cars, and there's no air freshener strong enough to make your eyes water.
  • Air you'd want to breathe. Cabin filters changed on schedule, so the air-con blows clean, not twenty years of exhaust.
  • Newer cars, kind suspension. Cars in good condition, with seats and suspension made for a four-hour drive.
  • Seatbelts that work. In every seat. Child seats are free on request.

FAQ

About this transfer

How far is Mia Resort Nha Trang from Cam Ranh airport?

The resort says 20 minutes; allow 15 to 30 on the peninsula road. It is one of the beach resorts on the Cam Ranh side, so it is much closer to the terminal than any Tran Phu hotel.

How far is it from Mia to Nha Trang?

About 30 to 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic and where in the city you are going. A past guest said 20 to 30 minutes by taxi, which would be a quiet hour.

Does the resort run a shuttle to town?

It used to run a free shuttle bus three times a day (2016 report). Ask the resort whether that is still running and at what times.

Can you take us from Mia to Da Lat or Mui Ne?

Yes. Da Lat is about 3 to 3¾ hours over the Khanh Le pass, daytime only. Mui Ne is about 3½ to 4½ hours on the expressway.
