Pullman Saigon Centre was Accor’s first Pullman in Ho Chi Minh City, opened in 2013 to 2014, and it has 306 rooms and suites with an executive lounge, an outdoor pool and the Evolve wellness centre. Its restaurants include Mad Cow Wine & Grill and a rooftop bar. The real feature is the address: it faces Tran Hung Dao Boulevard, at the edge of the Pham Ngu Lao area that surrounds Bui Vien.

How long from the airport to Pullman Saigon Centre?

Reviews say 25 to 40 minutes, and booking sites give the same range. The last stretch on Tran Hung Dao is the part that slows in the evening. The right car for one or two is a sedan; for four with bags a 7-seater.

Which entrance, and is “Tran Hung Dao” enough?

Not quite. Tran Hung Dao Boulevard is long and runs through Districts 1, 5 and beyond, so say “Pullman, 148 Tran Hung Dao, District 1” or show the name in Vietnamese. The hotel’s own registration puts it in Cau Ong Lanh Ward. A driver who hears only “Tran Hung Dao” may head for the District 5 end. The main door is on the boulevard.

What is within walking distance of Pullman Saigon Centre?

Ben Thanh Market and the Pham Ngu Lao streets are on foot, and Bui Vien walking street is about ten minutes away. That is also the downside: the hotel is a sanctuary of glass and quiet rooms, and the street outside gets rowdy after dark.
